New products and tariffs – mailing Auvibel
You will find below the letters sent by Auvibel regarding the upcoming changes to the regulation on private copy levies applied from 1 April 2022 (Royal Decree of 18 February 2022).
These changes, which relate to the products subject to the levy and the applicable tariffs, are the result of the adaptation of the levy to technological developments and the extension of the scope of the private copy exception.
What is changing?
The forthcoming amendments extend private copying remuneration to new products such as consumer computers, stand-alone and multifunctional consumer printers (inkjet), and e-readers. In addition, the tariffs for devices and media are modified. Another novelty is that refurbished devices are now subject to private copy levies at 60% of the normal levy.
