Auvibel and Reprobel unite their respective teams under one management

The boards of directors of Auvibel and Reprobel have decided to unite their teams into one unique organisation with one managing director. In this manner they take the lead to further professionalise their activities and to make them as efficient as possible.

Steven De Keyser will be the managing director of both entities. Previously he was already the managing director of Reprobel. His affinity with the copyright sector and his achievements at Reprobel were important factors that contributed to Auvibel and Reprobel’s decision.

Annemie Maes, who was the interim managing director of Auvibel, remains on board as a member of the management team and will be responsible for, among other things, communication and distribution.

Where Auvibel is concerned, Jasper Verdin, managing director of SIMIM and IMAGIA, will take on the role of president of the board of directors, while Anne-Lize Vancraenem, the current managing director of SAJ JAM, remains the president of Reprobel. Together they will assist the managing director with the further operational integration.

General Management Auvibel : retirement of François Stroobant

Mr. François Stroobant, Managing Director of Auvibel, retired on 5 March 2021.

Auvibel would like to thank him for his unrelenting commitment and for all the work that he accomplished, which has contributed to making Auvibel into the company that it is today. In perfect accordance with the legal framework for copyright and private copying in particular, François Stroobant led many a battle through dialogue, persuasion and reasoning to accomplish his mission, namely, the enabling of the compensation of the rightholders : authors, producers, publishers and artists.

The sector is grateful to him for all of his efforts.

The Auvibel team would also like to thank François in particular for his good management of the staff, continuously aware of the wellbeing of each and every one of them and always ensuring that the best working conditions were in place.

Mr. François Stroobant confidently passed the torch to Mrs Annemie Maes, Managing Director on duty, who, surrounded by her team, will carry on his efforts, in order to do everything within Auvibel’s power to face the many challenges of the world of private copying in support of the cultural sector which is in great difficulty today and to improve upon its conditions.

We wish François all the best and that he may continue his journey with a wonderful new chapter in his life.
